No major changes to the top 5 in the UCI Standings following the World Cup in Namur, Belgium except for a small re-shuffle in the Elite Women’s. Katie Compton (Rabobank-Giant) still tops the Elite Women’s UCI rankings with 1,900 points, with a 300-point lead on Marianne Vos (Nederland Bloeit) who moved up to second after dominating the race on the muddy slopes of the citadel in Namur.

Young Kaitie Antonneau (Cannondale cyclocrossworld.com) had a great race to finish 10th in Namur, moving her up five spots to 25th in the standings.
There were only four UCI races in the United States since the December 6 standings, the Exergy USGP finale in Bend, and the weekend in Kingsport Cyclo-cross Cup so major changes in the other North American riders with Meredith Miller (CalGiant) holding in 16th. The biggest jump was from Katie Arnold, who moved up 73 points with her fourth place finish at Kingsport Cyclo-cross Cup. See complete list.
Though he swept the USGP weekend, Jeremy Powers (Rapha-Focus) is holding in 11th spot, the highest American in the rankings. Already maxed out on C2 points, only the C1 points were counted in Powers’ ranking. Tim Johnson (Cannondale-Cyclocrossworld.com) moved up seven points to 17th with Ryan Trebon (LTS/Felt) in 18th. Geoff Kabush (Maxxis-Rocky Mountain) is top Canadian in 63rd.
Though he finished fourth in the World Cup, Kevin Pauwels (Sunweb – Revor) remains on top of the standings with 2,270 points and a slim 10-point lead on Sven Nys (Landbouwkrediet). Nys took the win in Namur ahead of Belgian Champion Niels Albert (BKCP-Powerplus). See complete list.
American Drew Dillman (Bob’s Red Mill) dropped to fifth place, 94 points down from Mathieu van der Poel of the Netherlands in the UCI Junior rankings.
Did you know that the United States have the most riders in all three of the rankings? 80 of the riders in the Elite Men’s rankings are from the United States compared to 50 ailing from Belgium, making the USA riders 14% of the total list. 26% of the riders in the Elite Women’s rankings are from the United States, or 88 women compared to 15 from Belgium, or 26% of the list.
