Kaiser sweeps weekend, Eckmann wins USGP overall

The Men Junior 17/18 USGP competition concluded just as it had started, with a nail biters this past weekend at the STANLEY Portland Cup. Cody Kaiser (CalGiant) swept the weekend and Yannick Eckmann (Clif Bar Development) won the overall series. Photo Galleries.

Powers and Nash Triumph in Portland

Katerina Nash (Luna) and Jeremy Powers (Cannondale-Cyclocrossworld.com) win the final USGP race in a cold Portland. Nash and Ryan Trebon (KONA-FSA) take the the overall title making two in a row for Nash and four for Trebon.

Wells, Nash win Portland Cup

Showing that last weekend’s hat trick at Jingle Cross was definitely not a fluke, Specialized’s Todd Wells outsprinted Jeremy Powers (Cannondale-Cyclocrossworld.com) to take the win at day 1 of STANLEY Portland Cup. Luna’s Katerina Nash took her fifth solo USGP win but Amy Dombroski (Schlamm-Clement-Primus Mootry) came a close second. Canadian Cross Champion Alison Sydor (Rocky Mountain-Maxxis) won the 2-up sprint for third.

Yannick Eckmann sweeps Mercer and takes over USGP lead

We have a new leader in the very tight race in the Men’s Jr 17-18 series of the US Gran Prix of Cyclocross. Young Yannick Eckmann (Clif Bar Development Team) discovered that he loves the mud at this weekend’s Mercer Cup Races as the almost 16 year old swept the two races to take over the lead of the USGP series.
