Kelly Benjamin (Colavita/Baci) outsprinted her breakmates for the win at the San Dimas Hospital Road Race. Rory Sutherland (UnitedHealthcare) made his move on the final climb to take the win. Lisa Hunt, directeur sportif of Team Vera Bradley Foundation makes no bones about it, she wants to win this year. Her stated goals include both the Individual and Team Classifications for the NRC. One way to get victories is via sprints so she she beefed up the speed on the team, bringing on board a pure sprinter along with riders to create a lead out train.
