Two of America’s cyclocross series combine for a two-day throwdown in the Hamptons this weekend. The two-day Whitmore’s Landscaping Super Cross Cup is part the MAC Series and is the finale of the North American Cyclocross Trophy (NACT) series.

Jeremy Powers (Cannondale-Cyclocrossworld) and Maureen Bruno-Roy (MM Racing p/b Seven Cycles) still lead 2009/2010 USA Cycling Cyclo-cross National Racing Calendar. Tim Johnson (Cannondale-Cyclocrossworld) and Natasha Elliott (Louis Garneau) top NACT.

Deja vu all over again at the Boulder Cup, the eighth race of the NACT. The conditions couldn’t have been different to Saturday’s race but that didn’t seem to matter to either US Cross Champion Katie Compton (Planet Bike) nor to Tim Johnson (Cannondale-Cyclocrossworld.com) who both did it again, yep they soloed to another win. And Johnson’s boys in green went 1-2-3 again.

Break is over. Cross season started this weekend, with the first four UCI races on the 2009/2010 USA Cycling Cyclo-cross National Calendar: Star-Crossed and Rad Racing in Washingston State and Nittany Lion and Charm City in the Mid-Atlantic.
