After a Saturday spent doing some team building exercises including a stint with the Navy Seals, the Jelly Belly presented by Kenda riders went for a somewhat mellow ride on Sunday. I tagged along as they made their way to the coast of Southern California to ride to Camp Pendleton.

Jelly Belly’s Brad Huff took a solo flyer on the final lap to win the Chicago Crit ahead of Hilton Clarke (Fuji-Servetto) and Karl Menzies (OUCH). Fresh off winning the Pan American Road race, Canadian Joëlle Numainville of Team Kenda outsprinted Laura van Gilder (Mellow Mushroom) and Sarah Caravella (ALAN) for the win.

The first of BC Superweek, the Tour de Delta was held over the weekend in British Columbia with youngsters winning the overall with Canadian Ryan Anderson (Kelly Benefit Strategies) and Kiwi Lauren Ellis (Jazz Apple) winning the overall general classification, along with the Best Young Rider award for the 21-year old Anderson and 20-year old Ellis.
