Video from US Pro Press Conference with Taylor Phinney (Trek-Livestrong), defending champion George Hincapie (BMC Pro Racing Team), Levi Leipheimer (Team Radioshack), Teddy King (Cervelo TestTeam) and Scott Stewart (Team Type 1).
Emma Pooley, of the Cervélo TestTeam, did something that is very rarely seen at a World Cup Event. She attacked in the first 400 meters of the climb of the first lap and went off to claim victory riding solo in the wind for the next 110 kilometers at the 12th edition of the Montréal World Cup. Emma Johansson (Swedish National Team) won the sprint for second place over Trixie Worrack (Nürnberger).
One year ago, then riding for the BISSELL team, Teddy King unleashed a late attack to win a stage at the Joe Martin Stage Race in Fayetteville, AR. Fast forward to now, and the 26-year old King is racing in his first Grand Tour, the Giro d’Italia with his Cervélo TestTeam.
