The Optum Pro Cycling presented by Kelly Benefit Strategies team is taking on cyclocross for the 2012/2013 season. After 19 years in the pro peloton, George Hincapie of the BMC Racing Team launched down a start ramp for the final time on Sunday. The final stage of the USA Pro Challenge was also the final race for the three-time USA National Champion. Fans took to twitter to thank him and say goodbye.

Bad news. The organizers of the Blue Ribbon Alpine Challenge announced that due to a lack of funds the three-day stage race has been reduced to a one-day criterium for the second-year event. USA Cycling announced Wednesday Olympic BMX cyclist Arielle Martin suffered an injury during routine training at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif., on Tuesday.
