Meredith Miller‘s pink! online raffle kicked off this week, the grand finale to her fundraising efforts. In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, the California Giant Berry Farms/Specialized Cyclocross Team was garbed in head-to-toe pink kit in October.
Miller also works to raise funds as she did previously to support her favorite breast cancer organization, Hope Lives! The Lydia Dody Breast Cancer Foundation. This non-profit is based in Fort Collins and provides local breast cancer patients with complementary care and lifestyle support during treatment.
“Over the past two years, I invited sponsors, friends and fans to become “Pretty in Pink” with me. Responses far exceeded my expectations. Together, we raised $15,000 for Hope Lives! with silent auctions, online raffles and shirt sales. My goals this year is to raise an additional $10,000 to bring our grand total donated to $25,000 over three years.” Miller wrote.
The raffle grand prize is a SRAM Red equipped Specialized S-Works pink carbon Crux with Zipp 101 Wheelset. Six additional prize packages from Thule, Kinetic, Light and Motion, Strava, Oakley, lululemon, Modify and Boa Closure Systems will also be awarded.
The seven winners, picked randomly, will be announced via Miller’s personal website, (mmcyclist.com), Twitter and Facebook.
The raffle runs through 12:01AM on November 1, 2012, and tickets can be purchased on bikereg.com
