Photo gallery of the Central Coast Cyclocross (CCCX) race #2 at Fort Ord. Elle Anderson (Ladies First) and Andy Jacques-Maynes (CalGiant/Specialized) won the elite women and elite men races.

“It hurt like hell”, Jacques-Maynes laughed after his win, “but that’s what it supposed to be right? I think last week was harder on me, this week I had that race in me so that helped me a lot, I didn’t have dig quite as deep but it still hurt.”

He now leads the series after also winning the first race. “Last week was one big hill and one big descent, and this week was two smaller hills and two descents, so shorter efforts but more intense because you could just sprint all the way from bottom to top.”
