Point-to-point road race with a final 5.5-mile climb on a very narrow alpine road with rough road pitching up with grades of 19% at some points. Men do 92 miles (148km)with 4,252 feet (1,296 km) of climbing, while women race 73.1 miles (117.6km) with 3,669 feet(1,118m) of climbing.
The course includes a 2.1-mile (3.4km) parade loop through downtown Silver City and finish near the ghost town of Mogollon. Sprints: 5, 3 and 1 points, no time bonus; cash award for 1st Finish KOMs/QOMs |

79.1-mile loop with 5781 feet of climbing for the men, and 77.9 mile and , feet of climbing for the women, starting and ending at Fort Bayard. The course not only includes three climbs but the 3-mile Wild Mesa (or Sapillo) descent, a very technical 1000+ feet drop with numerous sharp corners, hairpins and two switchbacks. The descent is one of the most dangerous areas in the Tour of the Gila.

Riders face two climbs in an out and back 16.15-mile course and 1,188 feet (362 m) of climbing. The course consists of all ascent or descent with very little flat ground.
Riders will depart at 30-second intervals, the top 10 at 1-minute intervals. Due to the size of the men’s field, they will probably be started in two waves. No time bonus. |

Raced on a 1.04 mile, four-corner rectangle with about 80 feet of climbing per lap most of it on slight rises between turns 2 and 3.. The road surface is fair to poor in some spots. Roads are fairly wide, especially the downhill, high-speed fourth corner. There is a high-speed descent to turn 4.

The queen stage, a 103.5-mile point-to-point road race with 9,131 feet of climbing and 8252 feet of descending for the men – 71.8 mile with 5610 feet of climbing and 4714 feet of descending for the women. Five climbs for the men including the 7-mile long, 1,600 foot Copperas Vista climb of the Gila Cliff Dwelling followed by the dangerous descent with steep grade and blind corners after the turn-around.
