Meredith Miller was sporting a pink ‘Pretty In Mud’ t-shirt at Interbike this past week, a shirt with a meaning.
The tee is part of a fundraising effort that Miller, who rides with Team TIBCO/To The Top on the road and California Giant/Specialized during cross season, launched during the show. Created with stomachofanger, all profits from this project will go to Hope Lives! The Lydia Dody Breast Cancer Foundation.
It all started last year when teammates Miller and teammate Teal Stetson-Lee were sporting a pink California Giant/Specialized kit.
She then put together a separate fundraising effort to benefit the Ft Collins-based non-profit breast cancer foundation, Hope Lives!, that provides complimentary care and lifestyle support to breast cancer patients throughout their breast cancer treatment.
“This year I wanted to take it a step further, I contacted the great guys at StomachOfAnger and asked them if they wanted to be involved and they were on board immediately.” Miller explained at Interbike. “They’re the ones who came up with the design, with the logo Pretty In Mud and the pink ribbon on it.”
Not only t-shirts but two jerseys, one for women and one for men, are available. “All are on sale at stomachofanger.com, all the proceeds will be going for Hope Lives. These will be on sale through the month of October.”
The t-shirts and jerseys can be purchased at stomachofanger.com
