The nation’s biggest cyclocross race, CrossVegas, has taken CLIF BAR as its first title sponsor. The original energy bar made with organic ingredients, CLIF BAR is increasing its annual participation from supporting to title sponsor in a multi-year deal concluded recently.
As a result, the 5th annual international cyclocross race scheduled for Wednesday, September 14 in Las Vegas following the first day of Interbike will be titled CLIF BAR CrossVegas.
“We’ve been a longtime supporter of both cyclocross and CrossVegas,” said Lauren Hatfield, CLIF brand senior manager. “We’re really pleased to have the opportunity to take our support to the next level. Cross Vegas is a great event that combines two of our passions–athletic adventure and fun.”
Race Director Brook Watts was enthusiastic about CLIF BAR’s increased role. “It’s delightful to have great partners return each year,” Watts said, “but it’s a real joy to have a partner like CLIF BAR that actively seeks ways to grow the event and the sport as well.”
CLIF BAR’s increased participation will provide greater on-site activities for staff and guests as well as increased visibility across all promotional materials, including national advertising. In addition, the full range of CLIF energy foods and drinks will be sampled to spectators on-site.
