No Changes To Top Of NRC Standings

With only one NRC event on the calendar this past weekend, and only for men, the standings remain mostly unchanged.

At the 50-mile Tour of Somerville on Memorial Day, Timothy Gudsell (PureBlack Racing) took the win ahead of Karl Menzies (UnitedHealthcare Professional Cycling Team p/b Maxxis) and Eric Young (BISSELL Pro Cycling).

The top five of the men’s NRC standings is unchanged from last week. Francisco Mancebo ( leads Jake Keough (UnitedHealthcare Professional Cycling Team p/b Maxxis) by 298 points. Ben Jacques-Maynes (BISSELL Pro Cycling Team) sits in third place, 75 points behind Keough. The top three of the men’s NRC team standings (reflecting updated men’s team NRC rosters) remain the same from last week. PureBlack Racing has assumed fourth place, overtaking Chipotle Development, which now sits in fifth.

Colavita/Forno d’Asolo top the women’s standings. Janel Holcomb leads the women’s individual standings, 124 points ahead of Clara Hughes (Pactimo Cycling).  They also have a strong hold on the women’s team classification with 1,388 points. TIBCO/To The Top is in second spot with 795 points.

The next race on USA Cycling’s NRC Calendar is the Base Camp International p/b Verizon Wireless in Basking Ridge, N.J. on June 2 for the men, and for the women, Liberty Classic on June 5 in Philadelphia, PA.
