The 14 riders and staff of the BISSELL Pro Cycling made their way, once again to Santa Rosa CA for its training camp this year. The plan for sunny but cool Sunday ride was to tackle the Geysers’ ride and its long climb, a 5-hour ride. As happens with long rides, lots of laughter at the start as they made their way on rolling roads to Healdsburg. During the ride, they organized in a paceline, each taking turns at the front for photos for yours truly in the car. And then the climb, it was on, who would make it to the top first? Bragging rights and maybe more was on the line.
Read our previous interview with DS Omer Kem where he shares his thoughts on the upcoming road season. The 10 returning riders are Patrick Bevin, Rob Britton, Paul Mach, Andy Jacques-Maynes, Ben Jacques-Maynes, Frank Pipp, Jeremy Vennell, Kyle Wamsley, Shane Kline and David Williams. Joining the team are Andrew Baker, Andrew Dahlheim, Chase Pinkham and Jay Thomson.
At the end of the day, Mach’s computer registered 141km and 1500m of climbing. (Note that Thomson was not at camp during our visit as he was racing in his native South Africa).

Interesting that this rider is there and in the photos while not being a member of the team. Can anyone who rides attend the camp, wear the clothes, ride the bike, and be in the team photos? I would be interested! More info and details please!
