Hosking Doubles Up, Evans Sprints Into Yellow At Nature Valley GP

Downtown or Uptown makes no difference to Chloe Hosking (HTC-Columbia). Once again, she surfed other team’s trains to position herself in the final dash to the line and outsprinted Brooke Miller (TIBCO/To The Top) and Shelley Evans (Peanut Butter Co TWENTY12) to win the Minneapolis Uptown Criterium.

That makes it two for the 19-year old who also won the St Paul Downtown Crit.  (Read about Hosking here)

At two seconds down on GC prior to the stage, Evans was on a mission to get as many time bonus seconds as she could. With the help of her team she did exactly that, winning all three intermediate sprints for a total of 15 seconds. Added to her 6 second time bonus for her third place finish, Evans now leads the GC with a 19 seconds on Alison Starnes (TIBCO/To The Top) and 23 seconds on Linda Melanie Villumsen (HTC-Columbia).
