Okay, I was curious and looked a bit closer at the prize awards for the ‘cashtastic’ Alexian Brothers Tour of Elk Grove and here’s the breakdown, per team, taking into account stage and final standings. I do not have the information about the $3,200 race primes given out on Saturday.
No surprise, that OUCH p/b Maxxis comes out on top as Karl Menzies took the overall, the team made $35,200 or $210 per mile raced (or $66 per turn – okay I might have gotten carried away). Interestingly, BMC comes out on top on the $$ per rider with $4,668 (assuming start list was correct).

NRC Standings. With his third-place overall finish at the Alexian Brothers Tour of Elk Grove, BISSELL’s Tom Zirbel jumps back to the top of the NRC standings after 18 events raced in the men’s calendar and 7 events remaining. OUCH-Maxxis’ Rory Sutherland drops down one spot to second while his teammate Karl Menzies shows up in the top 5 after winning the overall at Elk Grove.
Team Type 1′s Alison Powers still leads the women’s individual standings with 14 of the 19 women’s events completed. Powers took over the top spot after winning the Joe Martin Stage Race in early May.
No changes in the team standings as BISSELL leads the men’s team standings while Team Type I remains in the top spot on the women’s side.
