After spending last week in Beauce, I am now in Montreal for a little R&R, and decided to check out a local cycling tradition, les Mardis Cyclistes Saputo de Lachine. Since 1978 for ten weeks from June to August, on every Tuesday evening, cyclists congregate in Lachine for a crit on a closed 4-corner 1-mile course in Lachine.
Yesterday, riders of the OUCH-Maxxis team were in town as they were participating in a charity ride today, and so were Steve Bauer’s Planet Energy’s riders such as Keven Lacombe and Martin Gilbert who are resting after Beauce and getting ready for the upcoming Canadian National Championships. Same for Kelly Benefit’s David Veilleux.
