Men’s Teams Announced for Philly Race

Today, the organizers announced the Men’s teams that will race at the Philadelphia International Cycling Championship, aka Philly Race, on June 7 2009. Pros from 26 countries and 24 teams will be on the start line of the majestic Benjamin Franklin Parkway.

Daniel Holloway – I just love to race

While only 21 years of age, Daniel Holloway is working towards a very clear goal, the track events – namely the Madison and Scratch races – at the 2012 Olympic Games in London. As part of his preparation, Holloway also races on the road, a member of the U23 development squad Felt-Holowesko Partners-Garmin team.

A pro since 2002, and a familiar figure in the US racing scene, BMC’s Jackson Stewart has been having a good start to the year, winning a stage at Redlands and helping his teammate Jeff Louder win the overall and then going over to Europe to race the Queen, Paris-Roubaix.

San Francisco Twilight Criterium canceled for 2009

The organizers of the San Francisco Twilight Criterium announced that the event will be postponed until September of 2010, due to a lack of adequate sponsorship. Four NRC races canceled so far this year and 2 USA Pro Tour races.

Teddy King is taking it day by day

One year ago, then riding for the BISSELL team, Teddy King unleashed a late attack to win a stage at the Joe Martin Stage Race in Fayetteville, AR. Fast forward to now, and the 26-year old King is racing in his first Grand Tour, the Giro d’Italia with his Cervélo TestTeam.
