The Canadian Cycling Association (CCA) manages the 2009 Canadian Road Calendar which includes events for paracyclists, junior, U23, masters, men and women pro cyclists.
The calendar contains a total of 11 events of which 10 of are sanctioned by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI). That makes it 3 less events than in 2008. Gone from the calendar are the Coupe de la Paix, the Welland Race and the Tour de Québec, and the new Tour de Kootenays, in British Columbia was canceled after being originally announced
Also once again, the Tour de Beauce is scheduled at the same time at the NRC-sanctioned Nature Valley Grand Prix in the US.
