I heard Kelly Benefits is folding.

CONI (Italian anti-doping authorities) threw Stevic a lifetime ban for alleged involvement in the Oil for Drugs doping network. He claims he knew nothing about the case and intends to appeal.

    Some info and linkage here.

thanks for the info on Kilun, Murphy, Chodroff and Landis (doh I knew that one). they’ve been added to the list.

I didn’t put the Trek-Livestrong U23 or the VMG/Felt U23 teams on the lists as I don’t think that either of them are registered in the US (or in Canada). Anonymous, do you know?

KBS folding? that’s a new one. Will put that in as a comment from anonymous.

  9. Lyne

    12. Nov, 2008

thanks Jen. Yes, Stevic was suspended by Toyota-United once the lifetime ban from CONI was known. Now we’ll have to wait for the appeal to go through TAS.

Unless it happened in the last day or two, KBS is not folding. They have signed guys.

Rock looks to be facing some difficulties though with ages and numbers. Can anyone figure out how their roster will work as a continental team?

    yeah, what about Colavita?

  15. Lyne

    13. Nov, 2008

Colavita has been very quiet. The Borrajo brothers are back in 2009 and now thanks to anonymous, it seems that Olson is going back.

Dan Holloway is with the VMG squadra

  17. Lyne

    13. Nov, 2008

I didn’t put Holloway on the list because he is already with VMG/Felt and is staying with the team next year along with Summerhill, Carlsen and Stetina.

Canadian youngster Cody Campbell is riding for Livestrong U23. Also, I have heard from reliable sources that Kelly Benefits continues and has signed former Symmetrics riders Jacob Erker, Zach Bell and Ryan Anderson.

Does CQ know something we don’t about KBS?

  22. Lyne

    15. Nov, 2008

    thanks all.

I wouldn’t read anything into the fact that cqranking doesn’t have KBS on their list, as they also do not list many other American teams such as DLP Racing, Kenda, Jelly Belly….. heck they just added Colavita once cn had the news that Olson was joining the team

DLP folded, by the way. Don’t know about Kenda or JB.

    16. Nov, 2008

Hey Lyne great post here. I was wondering if you were able to confirm any of these “foldings” of KBS and DLP. Would be a shame if so many team were no longer. It does seem like a lot of teams are taking a longer than usual time to release their rosters. Do you know when official lists get released from USA Cycling?

    Mike

  25. Lyne

    16. Nov, 2008

DLP Racing confirmed to cyclingnews that they filed their Continental application on Nov 8 – and I seriously doubt that they’ve folded since then.
As far as KBS, another rider just said that he is moving to that team and there are no problems.

Just a quick comment. Nice site with good updates. For Trek-Livestrong new rider Cody Campbell is Canadian not US and was sole jr rider on Symmetrics last year. With Bewley, Sergent, Campbell, East and of course Phinney that would be an impressive track squad in it own right.

I’m goint to guess this was Scotty Z.
