Clarke and Pic win Chris Thater Memorial Criterium

Repeat winners at the 25th Edition of the Chris Thater Memorial Criterium in Binghamton, NY., the ninth race in the 11-race USA Crits Series.

Taking his second win in three years, Hilton Clarke (Toyota-United) won the 40-lap crit ahead of Alejandro Borrajo (Colavita/Sutter Home) and Eric Boily (Volkswagen).

Taking her third win with her first back in 2003, Tina Pic (Colavita/Sutter Home) took the honors, beating Laura Van Gilder (Cheerwine) to the line. Kacey Manderfield (Verducci/Breakaway) finished third.

With his win, Clarke moves up to fourth spot, only 28 points behind Mark Hekman (TOSHIBA-Santo). Finishing in 11th place, Yosvany Falcon (TOSHIBA-Santo) still leads the USA Crits classification and increased his lead to 67 points in front of Adam Myerson (Time Pro Cycling).

No changes to the top of the leaderboard still led by Kelly Benjamin (Cheerwine) who finished ninth at Chris Thater.  In second place, with a 25 points deficit, is Jennifer Wilson (Vanderkitten). Third spot is still held by Taitt Sato (ValueAct) and Pic moved up to fourth spot with a gap of 60 points.
